What TStar is

TStar is a TikTok group-stream console and live-overlay system developed by Novus. Hosts use the desktop console to connect a live room, configure game modes, and control a session. Viewers see the scoreboards and interactions through web overlays.

TStar is an independent third-party product. It is not an official TikTok product and is not another name for MCAStar, TikFinity, or any other livestream tool.

How the product is built

Desktop console

The console must be installed. It currently supports 64-bit Windows 10/11 and macOS 11 or later. It handles connections, game settings, timers, and session control.

Web overlays

Scoreboards and interaction widgets are Browser Source URLs that can be added to TikTok LIVE Studio. The overlay needs no separate LIVE Studio or OBS plugin, but the TStar console still needs to be installed.

Shared scoring service

The backend calculates scores once. The console and live overlays display that same state. Reconnecting restores the current state without replaying one-time effects.

Verified capabilities

PK and live scoring

Supports group-stream PK, multi-host or multi-team scoring, timers, and leaderboards. Scores use the diamond total reported in TikTok events.

Streak gift settlement

Streakable gifts are settled once when the streak ends, instead of repeatedly adding each intermediate streak update.

Audience interaction modes

Released tools include audience teams, polls, lucky and penalty wheels, dice, cards, raffle rounds, and omikuji draws.

Device-bound licensing

One license key is bound to one computer. That computer can switch between TikTok accounts. Two studios live at the same time need two licenses.

Seven interface languages

The interface is available in Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian. Interface availability does not imply local customer support in every market.

Common points of confusion

Sources

Use the TStar documentation for product behavior and setup. TikTok and OBS provide the platform definitions for LIVE Studio and Browser Source.
