Set Up Your First TikTok PK
The previous docs cover connecting your account and connecting TikTok LIVE Studio — this one walks you through running your first "PK Battle" from start to finish.
Pick the game mode and player count
On the Scoring Games page, select PK Duel. In the workbench, choose 2–4 hosts or teams; selecting the count loads the corresponding configuration. For this walkthrough, choose "Play with stickers", then configure the hosts and representative gifts.
Bind a representative gift
In the "workbench" panel, bind a representative gift to each team — when a viewer sends that gift, its diamond value counts toward that team's score.
Set the countdown time
Use the 1 min / 3 min / 5 min shortcuts under Round Time, or enter minutes and seconds separately. Set the duration on the settings page; from Home, use Edit settings to change it.
Start
Click Save to Home at the bottom (Save if already pinned), then Back to Home. Saving does not change the viewer scene. On Home, select this PK preset card to apply it to the stream, then click Start (N min) in the Home workbench. Only Start begins the countdown; the settings preview does not start a live round.
Countdown ends, auto-settles
When the timer reaches zero, the round first enters Settling for about 10 seconds to receive late-arriving gift events that belong to this round. The result is determined after that buffer, and the scoreboard holds the final score. No manual settlement is needed; wait for settlement to finish before starting another round.
Mid-battle adjustments
- Pause / resume: You can pause the countdown any time during a battle and resume when ready.
- Reset: In the Home workbench, click Reset and confirm again. This clears the current round’s scores and contributions and marks that round void; received gift amounts remain in the full-session totals. It does not erase the whole broadcast. After normal settlement, click Start to begin a fresh round without resetting first.
Where scores come from
Scores only count diamonds officially reported by TikTok. Streak gifts get settled once when the gifting action ends, so rapid small gifts never get double-counted. An unrecognized gift icon doesn't affect scoring either — the display name might temporarily show as "Unknown gift," but the diamonds still count.
