Connect Your TikTok Account
License activation binds to the PC and happens once (see License Purchase & Activation). Which TikTok account you go live with is decided separately, every session, in the persistent connection bar at the bottom of the console — and you can change it any time.
Connecting receives the live room’s publicly delivered interaction messages. Enter the TikTok handle; no TikTok password is required.
Connecting in three steps

Press Connect, check the avatar, nickname and handle in the confirmation window, then press Confirm connection. If the avatar lookup fails, check the handle and use Connect anyway. Once the live room connects, live mode opens automatically.
Switching accounts doesn't need re-activation
To stream with a different TikTok account on the same PC, just change the field and click "Connect" — the license key is never asked for again. Accounts that connect successfully are saved to the "Recent" list for one-click reuse.
This matters most for studios running shifts: the morning crew, the evening crew, and the weekend special can each go live under a different handle on the same machine with the same license — you never buy a second license just to rotate accounts.
Why you never enter your TikTok password
TStar receives interactions such as gifts, comments and room entries. It does not request your TikTok password or post, send gifts, like content or change account settings on your behalf.
When connection preparation does not finish
The console is connecting to the TStar service. The account field and Connect button stay disabled while it retries automatically. If it keeps failing, check your network, then run Connection diagnostics in Settings under connection and diagnostics. Copy the report for support.
When the room won't connect
The account is typed correctly and the backend is connected, but the room still won't connect? Work through this table:

What happens on a disconnect
A temporary disconnect preserves the live layout and existing data while reconnecting automatically. Gifts during the outage are not guaranteed to be recovered.
After the stream ends, the tool waits for another stream. As long as the console stays open it keeps waiting, and your next stream (including a second one the same night) reconnects automatically without pressing Connect again. Only after both the console and the overlay are closed does the 10-minute rule apply: counting from the end of the stream, after 10 continuous minutes without a new stream, it stops the connection and returns to preparation. Your account, saved game settings, pinned cards and recorded session data stay intact. If you reopen the console after it stopped, press Connect to reconnect (pressing Start on a game after reopening does not reconnect), and gifts sent before the room is attached are not received. Before the first stream, it keeps waiting while the console is open in the same way. A healthy live connection continues even if you do not click anything or receive gifts for a long time.
To finish immediately, end the stream in TikTok LIVE Studio, then press Stop connection and confirm. This only stops receiving data; it does not end your TikTok stream.
FAQ
Do I have to be live before connecting?
Select your game on Home, set the hosts and representative gifts, press Connect, then go live in TikTok LIVE Studio. Once the TikTok live room actually connects, the console opens live mode automatically; no layout-switch button is needed. For games with rounds, press Start to begin scoring and the countdown. Live mode never starts a round automatically; gifts before the round starts do not count toward its score. While the console stays open it keeps waiting before the first stream and after a stream ends, and reconnects automatically when you go live.
If I switch accounts, do the previous session's scores and reports disappear?
No. Scoring and reports are settled per room, per session. Switching to another account opens a new room; the previous session's data is not overwritten, and the end-of-stream report for each session is kept separately.
Can I remove accounts from the "Recent" list?
The list is just a connection convenience stored on this PC. If you don't want an account showing up there anymore, clear the console's recent-connections history — it has no effect on your license or any scoring data.
Can I switch accounts mid-stream?
You can, but it isn't recommended while a game is running. Switching accounts leaves the current room, so any live scoring or PK loses its event source. Finish the session, export the report, then disconnect and switch to the next account.
Next step after connecting
Once connected, the system automatically fetches the list of gifts that room can actually receive. Before going live you must use that list to bind "representative gifts" to each side or host — nothing is bound out of the box, and unbound gifts don't score.
