Console Tour

The console is the app you actually operate while you're live. This page walks through what each tab across the top does and when you'd use it; for how each game works, see the game guides, and for tools that don't affect scoring, see Interactive Widgets.

Home: pinned cards and live mode

Home is mission control while you're live. Set up a game on the Scoring Games or Audience Interaction page, give it a name, and press "Put on Home" — it becomes a card on the Home page.

Live mode

Once you're live, press "Enter live mode" and Home enlarges the buttons you actually use in the moment and tucks away the settings-y stuff, so it's easier to work in a dim room or out of the corner of your eye. To change settings, press "Exit live mode" or just click one of the tabs up top. The Settings page also has a dark "Control room" colour theme, built for the same long-session use.

Live stats and the gift feed

The bottom half of Home holds the two things you check most while live:

Session totals (not just this round) live on the Data Reports tab; the full post-stream breakdown lives in the guild dashboard on our website — see Data Reports & Guild Dashboard.

Host Roster

Set up today's hosts before you go live. The roster order automatically maps to every game's player slots — the two sides of a PK, the Gauntlet's challengers, who shows up on the avatar frame — all pulled from this one list, so you don't have to set it up separately in every game.

  1. Add a host

Press "+ Add Host" and type their TikTok account — the console auto-fetches their nickname and avatar. Accounts you've added recently stay in the "Recent" list, so next time you can just tap them.

  2. Set the order

The roster order is the default slot order. You can still adjust it per game on "Who's on this round," or press "Fill all from roster order" to fill every slot at once.

  3. Someone shows up who isn't on the roster?

If a viewer sends a gift addressed to someone not on the roster, the console pops up a "Hosts detected outside the roster" alert — one click on "Add to roster" fixes it. If it's not actually a host, press "Not a host" to dismiss the alert.

Gifts to hosts outside the roster don't score for anyone

This is one of the most common reasons scores don't move. Add everyone who might go on stage before you start, and remember to add anyone who joins partway through.

Widget Link Manager

"Widget Links" opens a dialog listing every widget's link:

A copied link stays valid indefinitely — you don't need to re-paste it on a schedule. If the console prompts you before going live that a link needs updating, just follow the prompt and re-copy it. See Connect TikTok LIVE Studio for how to paste it in, and Overlay Sizing & Layout Guide for sizes.

Auto-update

The console checks for new versions on its own. When one's available, a "New Version Available" prompt appears — choose "Update Now" or "Later." Once the download finishes, press "Restart and Complete Update"; it takes about 30 seconds, during which the console closes and reopens automatically.

Don't update mid-stream

Updating closes the console, so doing it mid-stream will freeze your overlay. Also avoid shutting down or pulling the power during installation — if that does happen, see the FAQ for how to recover.
