Gauntlet PK

"Gauntlet PK" is a rotating one-on-one battle: the first person in the queue is the defender, the second is the challenger, and whoever has the higher score when the round timer ends wins. A challenger win means they take the throne — the old defender steps down and the next person in line becomes the new challenger — while a defender win keeps them on top and adds one to their win streak. You can optionally turn on "Revival overtime" to give a high-streak defender one comeback chance, or "Win-streak bonus" to multiply the defender's scoring the longer their streak runs.

What viewers see

The center of the overlay is a score bar and countdown (same look as PK Duel). Top-left is a "👑 Defender" badge with their name, plus a win-streak badge (and a multiplier badge if the win-streak bonus is active); top-right is the "Challenger" badge with their name. Below the score bar sits the waiting queue as avatar chips (up to 5 shown, the rest collapse into a "+N"). When "Revival overtime" triggers, the whole screen gets a pulsing red border with "🔥 Revival overtime" in large text; every settled round pops a result banner (defender held the throne / challenger took over / draw) for 6 seconds. When the whole match ends, the screen fades to a cover showing "🏆 Match over" and the best win streak of the match.

Set up before you go live

  1. Pick the game

Go to the "Scoring Games" page, and under step 1 pick "Gauntlet PK".

  2. Line up the queue

In the workbench below, type a name into "Queue" and click "Add"; the first entry is the defender, the second is the challenger, and everyone after that waits in line. Use ↑/↓ to reorder or "Remove" to drop someone. Names are just typed-in display text — they aren't tied to a TikTok handle.

  3. (Optional) Adjust the match rules

Expand "Match rules" to set: the tie rule (defender wins ties / challenger wins ties / allow draws), score carryover (keep own / split evenly / all to defender — this only decides how this round's diamonds get attributed on the post-show revenue report, it doesn't touch the score shown on the overlay, which resets to zero every round), revival overtime (once the defender's win streak hits the set threshold, the moment they'd otherwise lose to a challenger, they get one comeback attempt), win-streak bonus (every N wins in a row, the defender's scoring gets multiplied by an extra step), and gift-follows-member (turn it on and a bound gift's ownership moves with the person when the challenger changes; leave it off and the gift stays fixed to the "defender" / "challenger" slot itself — whoever's standing there gets credit).

  4. (Optional) Bind a dedicated gift

In the left-hand "Host Setup" panel, bind a gift to the defender or challenger slot — same as PK Duel. Queue rotation on its own doesn't touch a gift you've already bound.

  5. Save

Click "Save & pin to Home" — the queue and match rules save into a config slot and pin themselves to the Home page automatically; you'll run it from Home.

Running it live

Back on the Home page's live console, once both a defender and challenger are set, click "Ready" to get into position, set how long the round should run with the duration picker (you reset this every stream — it defaults to 180 seconds), then click "Start" to actually kick off the countdown. When time's up the system judges automatically: higher score wins, and ties fall back to whatever tie rule you configured. A defender win means they keep the throne (score resets for the rematch); a challenger win means they take over and the next person in the queue becomes the new challenger. With "Revival overtime" on, the moment a high-streak defender would otherwise lose, the system automatically triggers one comeback attempt (only once per streak) — pull it off and they keep the throne, fail it and the handover happens for real. While a round is in progress (running / revival overtime) the queue locks and can't be edited — click "End" to wrap the round early, or wait for it to finish naturally. "Skip challenger" bumps the current challenger for the next person in line. "Reset" clears the whole match (queue, scores, and streaks all zero out, with a confirm tap).

Where the score comes from

Scores only count the diamond value TikTok actually reports (diamond_count). Combo gifts settle once, when the combo ends, and the countdown's end time comes from the backend — the frontend just interpolates the display.

Common questions

Q: Do the queue names need to be tied to a TikTok handle? A: No. They're purely typed-in display text — scoring depends on which gift is bound to the "defender" or "challenger" slot, not on matching a name to whoever sent the gift.

Q: Does score carryover change what's shown on the overlay? A: No. Carryover only decides which fighter this round's diamonds get credited to on the post-show revenue report (keep own / split evenly / all to defender). The score shown on the overlay always resets to zero at the end of every round, regardless of that setting.

Q: How does revival overtime get triggered? A: Automatically — there's no host button for it. Once the defender's win streak reaches the configured threshold, the instant they'd otherwise lose to the challenger, the system grants one comeback attempt (only once per streak) — it doesn't happen every round.

Q: Can I edit the queue or cut in line mid-round? A: No. While a round is running or in revival overtime, the queue locks. Click "End" to wrap the round early, or let it finish and rotate naturally before editing again.
