Card Flip

"Card Flip" is a standalone draw tool with its own tab, its own prize list, and its own odds — it doesn't share content with Wheel, Dice, or Omikuji. When the host taps "Flip," the overlay plays a sequence: the row of cards gathers to the center, splits and riffle-shuffles, spreads back out to its original layout, then flips one card to reveal the prize text. Unlike scoring games, flipping never affects score — it's purely a host-triggered mini-game.

What viewers see

The screen shows a row of face-down cards. Tap Flip and the cards gather into a pile at the center, split into two stacks and riffle-shuffle, then spread back to their original positions — this part is deliberately drawn out, so viewers actually see the deck get gathered and shuffled before they'll believe the result wasn't rigged. Once the shuffle finishes, one card flips to reveal the winning prize text, with a highlight glow.

Set it up on the Audience Interaction page

This game isn't configured on the "Scoring Games" page — it's set up on the "Audience Interaction" page instead.

  1. Pick the Cards tool

Go to "Audience Interaction" in the left nav, then pick the "Cards" tab up top — Cards has its own standalone tab, no need to look under "Wheel."

The Audience Interaction top tab bar with the 'Cards' tab selected
  2. Edit the prizes

Tap any row's text to rename it inline; use −/+ to adjust weight (higher = more likely to be drawn, 0 = never drawn); tap ✕ to remove a row (at least 1 must remain). To replace the whole list at once, use "Paste in Bulk" and paste multiple lines.

  3. (Optional) Pick a card style

"Card style" offers Arcade, Luxe, and Candy — this swaps the card-back and card-face art only; the prize content and odds stay the same.

  4. Save to Home

Once you're done, hit "Save to Home" at the bottom of the page — the Cards control card shows up on Home, ready for you to flip once you're live.

Running it live

Back on Home, tap the saved "Cards" card and hit "🃏 Flip" — the overlay draws a random result weighted by the prize odds and plays the shuffle-then-flip animation. "Result History" below logs the last few draws (tap "Clear History" to wipe it). Flipping never touches diamond scores — it's a host-triggered mini-game, nothing more.

Flip results don't affect score

Card Flip is a standalone interaction tool, completely independent from the scoring games — the prize text shown is just display text, it doesn't add or subtract points for any team or host.

Common questions

Q: Is Card Flip a standalone game, separate from Wheel? A: Yes. Cards has its own tab, prize list, and odds — completely separate from Wheel, Dice, and Omikuji.

Q: Does the flip result affect the leaderboard or a scoring game's score? A: No. Card Flip is completely independent from scoring games — the result shown is just display text, it never adds or subtracts points.

Q: Why does the shuffle animation take so long? A: That's deliberate. Viewers need to actually see the deck get gathered, split, riffle-shuffled, and spread back out before they'll believe the result wasn't rigged in advance — this part never eats into the readable time for the flip itself or the result.

Q: Do the three card styles affect the odds? A: No. Arcade / Luxe / Candy only change the card-back and card-face art; the actual odds always come from the weight you set on each prize.

Q: Is the Cards panel on Home the same as on Audience Interaction? A: No. Home only keeps the "Flip" button and result history for live use; prize editing and card style all live on the "Audience Interaction" page.
