FAQ

Troubleshooting steps for connection issues, distorted overlays, and switching computers now live on their own Troubleshooting page — this page only covers general questions.

Can scores be calculated wrong?

No. Scores only count diamonds officially reported by TikTok — they don't depend on gift icons or a name list. Even if a new gift shows up and temporarily displays as "Unknown gift," its diamonds still get counted correctly.

How are member/team scores actually calculated?

Each game first binds a "Representative Gift" to a team or member. When a viewer sends that gift, the console adds it to that team's/member's score based on the diamond count TikTok officially reports (diamond_count) — never guessed from the gift's name or icon. Repeated sends of the same gift (a streak) only settle once, when the whole streak ends, so they're never double-counted.

How many computers can one license key be used on? Can I switch TikTok accounts?

A license key is bound to "this computer" — TikTok accounts on the same computer can be switched freely, no need to re-enter the key. If you're running two guilds live at the same time, each needs its own key. To move the same key to a different computer, you can't do it yourself in the console — contact support to have it unbound; see Troubleshooting for the exact steps.

How does billing work? How long does one payment last?

It's a flat, device-bound license (one PC) — no tiers, no limit on how many games you can use, and updates are free. Choose between 30 / 90 / 180 / 365-day plans; longer plans work out cheaper per month. See the pricing section on our homepage for exact plans and prices. After payment, support issues your license key by email — see Purchasing & Activating a License for activation steps.

What hardware do I need to run this?

The console is currently Windows-only, with a system requirement of Windows 10/11 (64-bit). There's no extra GPU or performance requirement beyond what you'd already need to run TikTok LIVE Studio itself.
